TO:   All Stockton Unified School District Staff
FROM:
  Dr. Steven Lowder, Superintendent
SUBJECT:
  July 31 Professional Development Day

We hope you are having a very relaxing summer and are excited about the upcoming school year.  In another month, we will open our doors to serve the students and families of the Stockton Unified School District.  We have been busy gearing up for the 2014-15 school year and are confident we will continue to make SUSD a safe and welcoming instructional environment for our students, parents and staff.

July 31st will again be a professional development day for most district employees. Site staff will continue with the implementation of Professional Learning Communities (PLC’s) and Data Teams. Principals are developing their agendas to reflect the needs of each individual school.

For all members in USA, STA, CSEA 318, CSEA 821 and CSEA 885, please refer to the schedule below for your group assignment.

Good Luck to the Class of 2014!

Congratulations to SUSD’s 2014 high school graduates! The celebrations were well deserved and marked the beginnings of new adventures for our students. We wish all of you the very best as you move forward. We heard wonderfully inspiring speeches at our graduations and know many, many of you plan to follow your dreams and continue your education. You will be attending colleges like Delta, Sacramento and San Jose State, the University of California at Berkeley, Davis, or Merced, Princeton or any one of dozens of other terrific public or private universities. Whatever your path, the start of a career, a new job, or off to college, we have faith in you to succeed. Take a look at the 2014 Stockton Unified graduation exercises
