Tuberculosis Skin Testing for School Volunteers

California State Law, (H&SC 3454), and SUSD Board Policy 4112.22.4 require that "any person volunteering services in public schools must submit evidence that (s)he is free of active tuberculosis. The examination shall consist of a TB skin test OR the results of a chest x-ray, and must be repeated once every four years".
Results of this examination must be kept on file at the school in which the person is volunteering services.

TB skin testing is now available through the Department of Health Services by contacting your school nurse to arrange for testing dates.
