ELMWOOD ELEMENTARY MISSION STATEMENT
The staff at Elmwood Elementary School believes unwaveringly
that all students can achieve high academic standards through
the infusion of the arts. Through the arts we will be able to
see and hear the achievements of all students. Students will
understand how to think deeply and then be able to apply
knowledge in new ways. By infusing the arts into daily academic
instruction, students will achieve real and significant academic
growth. We KNOW that through arts infusion Elmwood
School is educating the creative and intellectual side of the
human personality thus, educating the whole child.
What
is the atmosphere like in your house?
You can encourage your child to
cooperate by creating a pleasant
environment in which everyone works as a
team and enjoys each other’s company.

GREAT time with our students.

CONSTITUTION DAY
Elmwood
School commemorated “Constitution Day” on Friday, Sept. 16th
with a school-wide program. Constitution Day celebrates the
formation of the United States Constitution and recognizes all
the citizens of the United States of America. Our students
presented a wonderful program that involved the reciting of the
Preamble to the Constitution. There were student-made signs
that illustrated the preamble and also sign language used by the
students. The entire student body then sang “This Land is Your
Land.” At the end of the program, White Doves were released to
signify peace and freedom in our country. This celebration was
coordinated by our Elmwood Arts Steering Committee and the
Elmwood Teaching Staff. >>see
