ELMWOOD SCHOOL'S
NEW LOOK

The school got a new coat of paint during the summer. With the widening and resurfacing of Cardinal Ave, it's looking better than ever.  See pictures

On Wednesday, October 13, Elmwood school hosted the annual "Living a Healthy Lifestyle" Health Fair for parents, students, and the Elmwood community.

HALLOWEEN 2006
Halloween at Elmwood brought out the witches and the ghouls, super-heroes and villains, princesses and animals, and many other scary things from every classroom. It was the wildest Halloween at Elmwood School! See pictures

Elmwood School welcomed Mr. Wallace to our school as Principal-for-the-day.

WINTER PROGRAM 2006
Elmwood students presented the annual Winter Program of songs and band music on Dec. 15 for the Elmwood community. We thank all parents that came to see the performance.

ROTARY READ-IN

Elmwood School welcomed various community and educational leaders to read to students for a scheduled Rotary Read-in event. See pictures.

5th GRADE
"ARTS NIGHT"

Parents and Grandparents were invited to Elmwood Auditorium on Wednesday night to listen to 5th graders tell various stories about moments in their lives. It was a story-sharing night enjoyed by all. See pictures.

STAR ASSEMBLY

In preparation for the STAR test, Elmwood school held its annual "STAR Presentation" to remind students to BELIEVE! ACHIEVE! and SUCCEED! The students enjoyed the performance with a lot of laughter and in are good spirits for the test.

Dance Festival

Elmwood School held its first ever Dance Festival. The event celebrated the school’s many cultures, the history of the Garden Acres neighborhood, the city and the state. Thanks to all parents for attending the event.

NIGHT OF THE ARTS

MRS. DYER'S SEVENTH GRADE AUTHORS
The Seventh grade students in Mrs. Dyer's Language Arts class have been working on writing stories in different genres and published them complete with hard covers. These authors proudly display their creations through these pictures taken by Mrs. Dyer.     See pictures

FUNWORKS TRIP
FOR PERFECT ATTENDERS

Students in Miss Wiss, Mr. Pham, and Miss West's classes spent a fun-filled day at FunWorks in Modesto as a reward for achieving the most Perfect Attendance days in the primary, intermediate, and middle grades.

PRINCIPAL'S READING CHALLENGE LUAU
Elmwood students achieved their reading goal this year, that means that Mr. Semillo must keep his promise of performing a hula dance in front of the whole school. The result was a lot of fun including outstanding performances from the Na Ho Ku Mai Kanoelani Hawaiian dance troupe. You have got to see these pictures and videos to believe it !!!
