About
Our Facilities
Walton

school/young adult.
Also located on the Walton campus is the Early
Intervention Program, which serves infants and toddlers who have special needs
and their families.
The Center features a full kitchen and an

About
Roger Walton
and the Walton Special Center
Roger
M. V. Walton spent 28 years of his 40-year career in education as a Stockton
Unified School District administrator. His efforts convinced the Legislature to
fund a community-based program for multihandicapped minors.
Walton Development Center, now called Walton Special
Center, was constructed in June 1970.
Today
Walton Special Center provides special education services to students age 3 to
22 with severe disabilities who live within the Stockton Unified School
District.
