Adams Elementary School
Parenting Partners Class
November 2011
November 29, 2011, marked the
graduation of our Adams
Elementary School parents
participating in Parenting
Partners. Parenting Partners is
a class that teaches parents
positive skills when dealing
with their children that reduces
arguments and battles and puts
the parent back in charge. Sandy
Thornton (SDC Preschool) spear
headed and taught the classes.
Five parents received
“graduation” certificates. The
best news is those five parents
represent 11 of our students.
These 11 students now have a
more positive home environment.
Our goal now is to train a
couple of “graduates” and invite
them to assist in a series of
classes planned for next spring.
Thank you to the teachers who
allowed the students of
“graduating” parents to join the
celebration.
