Thanksgiving at Cleveland

Many volunteers both from the congregation of First Baptist Church and employees from Stockton Unified School District showed up to help families in need. First Baptist Church in conjunction with Stockton Unified School District helped serve Thanksgiving meals to the neighborhood communities of Cleveland, El Dorado, Wilson, Victory and San Joaquin schools on Thanksgiving day. As a result of this effort, 825 people were served a Thanksgiving meal, 444 boxes of food (named Love Boxes) were given away and 650 bags of clothes were handed out. In addition to the food and clothing, there were games for the children and performances by several dance groups for entertainment. The atmosphere was festive and joyful as people came together as a community.
