Student Representatives

At each board meeting during the course of the school year, each high school, on a rotating basis, sends a student representative to sit on the dais with board members. The board agenda calls for the student to be introduced by the school principal followed by an overview of school activities and events presented by the student.

Stockton HS Senior

Stockton High School senior Tyanna Abraham is working to complete deficit units to graduate this spring. She has also been a real leader at SHS, counseling for science camp, where she was nominated for the Redwood Leadership Award, and volunteering at school. She hopes to attend Delta College and then complete a degree in business administration from a four-year university. Congratulations to Tyanna Abraham for this honor!

Crystal Ledesma
Weber Institute

Crystal Ledesma is senior class president at Weber Institute. She plays soccer for Franklin High School , participates in Skills USA and is currently completing her Certified Nursing Assistant license requirements. She is doing her clinical hours at Good Samaritan Rehabilitation Center. Crystal is the first in her family to plan college and hopes to attend California State University, Sacramento, and enroll in the nursing program. She hopes to become at nurse practitioner. We are proud of you Crystal!

Erin Clark, Senior
Pacific Law Academy

Erin Clarke is a Senior at Pacific Law Academy (PLA).  She is an aspiring Political Science major.  She has already been accepted to the University of the Pacific and CSU Eastbay.  Her goal is acceptance to Mills College.  Erin is a very positive role model on the PLA campus where is an active participant in the Senior Class and other clubs.

Geovanni Valencia Mendez, Merlo Institute

Geovanni Valencia Mendez was born in East Los Angeles and has attended school in Stockton Unified School District for over 10 years. He has spent his entire high school career at Merlo Institute of Environmental Technology. He is a very personable student, is bilingual and has been involved with leadership activities for the past two years. He plays on our school basketball team and loves to play handball with friends. He has been involved with our SkillsUSA program and competed in San Diego last year having won a gold medal at the regionals at Delta College. He hopes to make it all the way to Kansas City this year. His project for competition this year involves promoting and highlighting the best of Stockton. His future ambition is to become a pediatric doctor. He hopes to attend UOP or Davis after high school graduation. Geovanni typifies our students at Merlo with a positive personality and drive to be successful.
Alexus Raquel, Stagg High School

Ms. Raquel is a proud member of the class of 2013 at Amos Alonzo Stagg High School. She is a valuable member of our ASB Leadership team. She is involved in various clubs and community service organizations and events: The Avon Breast Cancer walk, Stockton Family Day, which focuses on maintaining and saving the family unit, the Filipino Club, AVID, and is a Stagg Varsity Cheerleader. After high school, she hopes to attend either the University of Hawaii, Hawaii Pacific University or Chaminade University in Hawaii majoring in Clinical Psychology. As her career choice, she would like to work with Autistic children.
Marilissa Loera, Chavez High School

Marilissa Loera is a fantastic Cesar Chavez High School Titan! She is our Activity Student Body Vice-President and a proud member of our 2013 senior class. She is involved in various clubs including Interact club and is the president of National Honor Society which helps students volunteer in our community and prepare themselves for college. She regularly volunteers in the community at the Emergency Food Bank and Saint Mary’s Dining Hall. For the last three years, she has been one of our top academic performers with a GPA of 4.28. After high school, she plans to attend UC Berkeley, UC Davis, or UCLA majoring in Biological Science. Her career plan is to become a Dermatologist and start her own private practice.
