SUSD has Fine Arts .......
Music
programs of the Stockton Unified School
District are growing and changing. More
students are receiving music instruction in
classroom music, beginning and intermediate
band and string classes at the elementary
school levels; in our high schools the
performance classes, music theory and
composition offerings are growing in
dimension as well.
SUSD is in the process of developing
a sequential and standards-based K-12 Fine
Arts Curriculum. The links here provide a
look at the DRAFT MUSIC CURRICULUM
documents for district music programs.

consenting to letting their curriculum
guides for the Visual and Performing Arts
and for Physical Education be used as our
guide in developing such documents.
Curriculum guides are living documents that
are continually undergoing review, changes
and editing to fit the needs of a school
system and its students. Comments,
corrections and suggestions relating to
these curriculum guides are encouraged and
welcomed.
